ISPE Technical Publications

At SPATEX 07, ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers) launched its latest technical edition: "Swimming Pool Linings and Finishes" by Alan Pugh, FISPE (2nd reprint in January 2008).

This outline paper offers guidance to builders, self-build enthusiasts and students, on the many types of pool linings and finishes available to the industry. It also provides useful background information on some construction and installation methods.

There follows an extensive series of product notes looking in more detail at the types of linings, types of panel, other types of pre-formed pool and other types of finishes.

Life expectancy of materials (including guarantees) and trade contacts and suppliers are also listed.

This is an extremely useful book to have reference to and is an ideal companion to Alan's other ISPE Technical Paper "Waterproofing and Crack Repairs in Swimming Pools".

The Author

Alan Pugh has built on his experience of over 30 years working in the swimming pool repair and refurbishment industry and is a Fellow of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers.
He contributes to the SPATEX workshops and ISPE seminars nationally. He offers independent expert advice, information and on site surveys on request.
